Mystic Monk Blend 5lb

This is a great coffee to start your day. It is strong and delicious a real shake you wake in the morning coffee. If you like the flavor of strong not bitter coffee this is it. GREAT Coffee!

I always try, but still have not found a coffee that I can drink black.
I use a sweet cream coffee creamer in nearly every coffee I drink.
My brewing device is an Aero Press and I use 16 grams of coffee to 11 oz of water. Whatever of the 11 oz of water wont fit in the Aero Press I use as bypass water in my cup.
I grind my coffee to a medium size which is about the size of a grain of sand and let it seep for one minute before plunging.
The cedar like taste still is quite noticable and delicious even using the Sweet Cream Creamer.

The monks do an excellent job choosing premium beans and roasting to perfection. If you like dark, bold and smooth....this is the blend for you.

The Mystic Monk Blend is so warm and comforting in taste. We really enjoy the chocolatey flavors and light spices.

I expected an excellent taste. A friend say she loves this coffee. So far I have only tried the variety cups. I’m thinking the ground will be better.

Mystic Monk Blend Whole Bean coffee is the best non-flavored coffee on the planet. I have drank all the Italian brands from Italy. Mystic Monk Blend beats them all! Pax Vobis!!!

The price for 5lbs is a steal AND the taste is far superior than the store bought brands. I love to support the monks and their mission as well so it’s a win all around.

I bought this 5 pound bag for the workplace to share for the communal coffee drip. The co workers enjoy the taste and the coffee energized us for our shifts. It is also not too dark and not too light.

I typically drink the flavored coffees from Mystic Monk, but when I want just a simple cup of coffee this blend is my go-to. Very balanced, no bitterness, just a rich and wonderful coffee.

Absolutely best coffee I've had

Very smooth without any bitterness. Full flavored brewed in the following manner: 1:14 ratio ground medium coarse. Brewed with V60 and filtered water 125 degrees. 50-60 cc bloom for -35 sec followed by 50 cc slow circular pours with 10 sec pauses until 250 cc is reached. Very mild short swirl just enough to release the coffee filter edge. After complete drawdown allow to cool for about one minute. Sometimes will add 30 cc of 1/2:1/2.

This roast is my favorite. I drink coffee black and need the flavor to come through. I'm so happy to be able to enjoy this coffee, support the monks, the Catholic Church, and stop spending my money on commercial brands that support things I do not agree with.

Mystic Monk Blend combined with Vespers Decaf is the way we begin our days -- joyfully! Sometimes we choose another dark roast to go with the decaf and we've enjoyed them all -- bright, balanced, complex, delicious! We place our orders for four bags at a time; planning a bit farther ahead is proving necessary because USPS ain't what she used to be.

Full bodied, great flavor. Beans grind well and work great in French press. Monks got me hooked.

This was my first purchase of coffee from Mystic Monk. As a long home roaster I have roasted some wonderful coffee over the years, but this coffee was amazing. It was a little darker than I usually drink my coffee, but I immediately fell in love with the Monks and their mastery of the roasting process. I am now a dedicated customer.

We tried a bag Mystic Monk House blend and liked it so much that we ordered another bag and three more different dark roast blends.The hard part is deciding which one to try first!

This blend is satisfying. My wife and I enjoy it in the morning first thin, however, a cup in the afternoon tastes even better! I can't explain why, but who cares. Enjoy, I say!
