      Excellent flavored Decaf

      I generally consume dark roast (strong) coffee without flavor. Still, it is nice to dink a cup of decaf, flavored or otherwise, in the afternoon and I am happy to buy from Mystic Monk Coffee. This is finely ground coffee and my first brew in my Moccamaster was a bit too weak for my taste. However, I made sure to add more scoops to my taste and the results were great. This coffee has a wonderful bouquet and you definitely pick up notes of pecan, cream and rum. I definitely recommend.

      The Coffee That Got It All Started For Me

      Many years ago, a coworker bought this and decided he preferred non-flavored coffee, so he gave his bag of Royal Rum Pecan (whole bean!) to me. Before this life-changing good fortune, I had no idea coffee could be so outrageously fragrant, delicious and rich. What a sensory revelation! Like that coworker, I too prefer non-flavored coffee (from here, of course), but the Royal Rum Pecan sure made a believer out of me in Mystic Monk Coffee; I've been a fan ever since:) Don't mull it over-just add to cart!

      While I love the taste, the grind is too fine to accommodate my percolator leaving a residue that is not appreciated. So, I will probably not order this coffee again.

      How is Royal Rum Pecan Flavored Coffee Made?

      As with all Mystic Monk Coffee flavored coffee blends, we start with our signature high-quality Arabica coffee beans, which are given a mild-medium roast to bring out their natural flavor notes.

      Once our freshly roasted beans are cooled, we use our proprietary flavoring process in two ways:

      • For our whole bean stock, we add an even coating of gourmet pecan and rum-flavored oils.
      • For our ground coffee, we add in the flavors with the beans after they are ground.
